Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Veterinary Receptionist to work our after hours Veterinary Urgent Care Practice. The hours are from 4pm to 11pm Friday through Tuesday, (but you may be there as late as midnight, depending on when the last patient is seen). Customer service and client communication skills are absolutely necessary. A receptionist focuses on client service and communication. He or she is the first and last contact with the hospital and key to creating first and lasting impressions. The receptionist must have exceptional client service and communication skills, computer literacy, handle payment and financial issues, ability to multi-task, friendly attitude, and confidence to deal with stressful situations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, admitting, and discharging patients, over the counter sales, mailings, computer operation, financial transactions and front office and reception area maintenance. Receptionists must have a pleasant demeanor and work well with others, especially in stressful situations. Prior clerical, customer service, and computer experience preferred. Veterinary or other medical experience strongly preferred. Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $14 - $16 Hourly Bonus/Commission: Yes
