HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Sterling, MI is looking for a Paint Booth Data Technician / Analyst to join their safety conscious team! This role will assist with the technical functions of day-to-day operations at a truck production facility. The role serves as representative of HPC-Industrial in creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers. Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life. Must live in the Sterling Heights / Detroit, MI area.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

This work will be performed in a large paint facility / industrial environment. It will require significant walking, climbing stairs, ladders and working at heights. The facility has both cleanroom environments and areas that are dirty.

Training will be provided, and the successful candidate must learn, understand, and perform the following operations for the paint systems. This will include:

• How to properly pressurize / balance the airflow throughout the paint systems.
• How to measure airflow and track data in an electronic database.
• How to identify areas of the system that require cleaning and notify the proper team members.
• How to identify equipment that requires maintenance and notify the proper team members.
• How to chemically balance the sludge / water in the scrubber systems.
• How to track and document chemical usage.
• How to record equipment set points and track them in an electronic database.
• Use analytical problem-solving skills to complete required tasks while maintaining a high level of quality workmanship.
• Maintain positive and effective communication with team members.
• Take directions from and work with the lead technician.
• Present professional appearance and demeanor.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
• Accept work assignments that could require additional training to perform. Any training required will be provided.
  
  Qualifications
  
  
  • High school diploma or GED. Additional vocational training is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined with technical work experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work with and around industrial equipment.
  • The work environment is a large industrial paint facility. There will be significant walking and standing.
  • Able to walk / ride between sites. Shift will be split between 2 on-site buildings.
  • Valid driver's license.
